The mouse and the fly try and touch the sky
One goes up the clock well the other runs on by
The tiniest crumb or scrap of cheese
Always searching for something to eat
Outside is so big and hard on the feet
Wheat fields fill the land where houses soon will be
Money rakes upwards while trees make way
For new farmland as we run out of space
How do we learn from our past mistakes
What do you find when you look another way
Where do we sit after all your days
When is it the time for the times to change
Who are you to question things
Why does it matter when things stay the same
One small stone can ripple into waves
As it spreads in all directions is it in a puddle or a lake
