Dear Santa,

Dear Santa,

Your name who has changed through so much of the age
Once the fates, the furies, a demigod with an ear
To ask for anything and make it clear

But what you get is not always what you want
when you get exactly what you asked for
in such a way you wish your wish was to never wish at all

So I will ask for what I have
and will keep my children in my loving embrace
Stay away from the game of give and take

Work to pay my debts and forgive my debtors
For the game they play is an interesting thing
My eyes are not blinded by shiny things

I will work for work to work for profit
While I collect my weekly paycheck
To do my best because that's all I can

When the work is done
I will retire with a beer in my hand
think not of the sand that slipped through my hands.
